Dormouse (Muscadinus avellanarius)

With their lovely ginger-brown fur, long fur covered tails and deep black eyes, the dormouse is one of our most beautiful  and intriguing mammals. Sadly dormouse numbers are in steep decline so any help we can give to encourage them to breed is most welcome. The dormouse house is designed to provide an ideal nesting habitat in their natural ball shaped nests.

The dormouse house is made from FSC timber and non toxic materials. The opening swivel door can be used to access the nesting area for cleaning. However, please note that the dormouse is a protected species in the United Kingdom, and it is against the law to disturb the mice. When occupied inspection should only be carried out by a licensed inspector.
