Free nesting material holder from BBF

Caring for our wild birds goes a little further than just feeding them at this time of year. The Robins and Blackbirds are already pairing up and making a start at nesting and we can play a part to help them by providing nesting material for them to build their nests with. In the countryside there is lots of material around for the birds to make their nests with, but we still provide a little extra luxury for them by gathering our dog's grooming hair and putting it in a holder (in this case it is one of those red plastic peanut holders!). In towns and cities natural nesting material is less abundant and the wild birds will improvise with whatever they can find, so if you can provide them with some material such as cotton wool, pet hair, old wool, moss etc they will gratefully accept your gifts and use them for their new nest. To help our customers provide a nesting material holder we will give you one with each order, just ask for one in the comments box at checkout. It is bright red to help your birds find it in your garden. If you don't have a holder, you can use some wire mesh and make a ball out of it or nail some wire mesh to a tree, leaving a space to stuff some material into.
