This weekend 28th and 29th January are the dates for the big bird watch project from the RSPB.
If you possibly can, go and watch your garden or open space for an hour this weekend. Take one hour of your time to sit and relax, watch and listen to all of the wildlife in your spot and if you can, record it and send it in to the RSPB
Lots of birds are around this time of year and depending on where you live you can see anything from Blue Tits, Great Tits, Dunnocks, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Green Woodpeckers, Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Wood Pigeons, Buzzards, Crows - to name but a few!
Take a pen and paper, a flask and a chair - enjoy nature for an hour, let everything else wait - just this once!
