Our weather in the UK has become so sporadic that I don't know if it is winter or spring right now! 1st March has passed, flowers are blooming and the birds are singing - here in Shropshire! but in Yorkshire airports are closed and roads inaccessible due to 4" of snow. It seems one of those years where anything can happen with the weather.
For the wild bird feeding community - depending on where you are located, you can make you own mind up what you should be feeding your garden birds with now, leaving the high energy Winter mix out for them if they still need a boost of energy or moving onto a Spring / Summer mix that some fruit and grit in it for a nutritionally balanced diet during the breeding season.
Our exclusive seasonal range of wild bird foods comes to you in either a bulk sack or returnable polythene bags that are also re-sealable to maintain freshness. Freshness being a key factor in encouraging wild birds to your bird feeding station, we only mix and pack our bird food mixes for you on the day of despatch, so no stock of finished product is maintained - that is about as fresh as it is possible to get. We mix everything by hand still, as even though we could buy a mixing machine there is no replacement for seeing and feeling the bird food as you pack it, that way if there is any issue at all we notice it straight away.
