There are lots to chose from when it comes to feeding the wild birds suet products, basically the ingredients do differ but the main element is the suet and if it is good quality beef tallow then the birds will enjoy it no matter how it comes presented to them. Palm oils is not used in any of our suet products.
Of course there are some fussy birds out there and they demand a high level of attention when it comes to the bird food you put on their table! some people even have a preference for a certain kind of bird food in different places in the garden - so it is up to you how much choice you give to your particular birds.
Suet pellets for wild birds are a good product as they are versatile as to how you feed them, on a table loose, in a tube feeder as a straight or in a mix of other ingredients. Our Winter mix is a good example of using suet pellets in a wild bird food mix, along with mealworms and lots of Sunflower Hearts the suet element is the highest in energy terms and the birds will love them any time of year.
Suet balls come in lots of sizes, our small ones weight 85g and the large ones weigh 530g they all contain seeds and are best served without nets as the birds can get their feet caught in the net sometimes. Here at British Bird Food we only sell suet balls without nets and we recommend you serve them in a suet balls holder, they are not expensive and once you have bought the holder it will last for years.
Suet blocks are another useful way to present your garden birds with a suet product our bocks weigh 320g and can be fed from a table or suet block holder.
