Peanuts for wild birds
Peanuts for wild birds
Peanuts for wild birds at British Bird Food.
Many people feed peanuts to wild bird all year round, it is a very good way to deliver fibre and oil to the birds. Feed peanuts to birds via a peanut feeder in the case of whole peanuts, granulated peanuts can be fed in the seed mix or on their own. Here at British Bird Food we have a particularly good supply of peanuts for birds at the moment originating in India they are bold and fresh and have a lovely dark red skin colour to them. Most bird food suppliers would call them premium nuts, but we think that title only goes to exceptional quality peanuts and we haven't seen any of that type of quality for quite some time now - so it is worth being careful when buying peanuts to make sure you get a good quality nut of your wild birds. Peanuts are a staple part of the diet for wild birds and essential for good digestion and oils content. Many supplies of peanuts are often several years old when they are sold to the final customer, we only operate through main importers, so we know our peanuts are fresh as can be (the ones we have in stock at the moment are from March of this year). As well as being fresh and wholesome, it is important not to buy stale nuts because of a mould called aflatoxin, all our peanuts are checked and guaranteed aflatoxin free. Aflatoxin can cause respiratory problems to birds and may be fatal. So it is very important only to buy from reputable purveyors of Peanuts.
