Goldfinch, Chaffinch and Bullfinch feeding

All of our finches are enjoying the joys of Spring right now, we have just put up a new feeding station on our patio as we have had the patio replaced recently. So we did not want to make a mess, we used all the feeders from our original wild bird feeding station, but this time we included the patio stand and the squirrel dome. The set up does look the part, with Niger seed feeders (two - one for Niger and one for Finch food), Peanut feeder, seed feeders (three - No grow mix, No mess mix and Sunflower hearts). We have left the suet bals and pellet sin the tree close to the feeding station. So far the birds do not seem to mind the fact that we have moved the bird feeding station slightly further away from the locality of the tree for the cover it offers is important, however we don't have any predators around that we know of. In this case the bierds do feel safe and do frequent the feeding station throughout the day. This morning when I looked out onto the bird feeding station with all of the bird feeders filled with seed and Niger plus the peanuts. There was two Goldfinches on the Niger feeders and two Chaffinches on the floor clearing up some of the over spill. We have seen two Bullfinches on the seed feeders earlier in the year so I think they are about. So we use the Finch Food in one of the Niger seed feeders adn we hope they will return to us soon. If you want to try any of our seed mixes, many of which are exclusive to British Bird Food. Then just ask in the comments box when you place an order. [gallery]
